Do you have a child who struggles to show consistent progress in school?

Whether your child is already diagnosed with a disability, you suspect they may have one, or if they just struggle to keep up, I’m here to help. More often than not, what children receive during the school day isn’t consistent and individualized enough to help them internalize the information they’re taking in.

Individualized support can help take that overwhelm away—allowing your child to experience the true brilliance that lies within them.

When the stress of comparison to keeping up with other students fades, your child’s confidence will expand. My individual tutoring sessions ensure that your child has the safety to ask any question that comes up for them, freedom to make mistakes without fear of embarrassment, and encourages learning at their own pace. I include many traditional methods used in the special education field as well as an integration of yoga, giving students frequent movement breaks and new strategies to focus, relax, and self-regulate.

How it works:

In our first meeting, I review homework and assessments completed by your child. If needed, I will conduct more of my own assessments to get a better feel for their specific needs. I use that information to create a unique lesson plan for your child and plan future meetings that work with your schedule.

The goal is to provide a safe space for your child to enjoy learning and grow as a student in the process. In each of our sessions, there will be informal assessments to track their progress. More formal assessments are conducted at regular intervals to help them feel empowered and prepared during in-school testing.
