How do these interact? Many ways.

Today, I’ve been thinking about one and how I’ve seen it work.  It’s the simple act of breathing. In today’s world we are always on the go and thinking about what we have to do next. Taking a breath reminds us where we are.

One of my groups had difficulty focusing. My solution was that I had them breathe for a minute at the start of each class. Some students did switch breath which is better known as alternate nostril breathing. This breath practice helps balance the two hemispheres of the brain and increases focus.

Stressed or anxious about school?  Try breathing for a couple of minutes.
